Software Design Engineer in Test - PC Applications (contract)
NeuroVista is creating a tightly integrated medical device system which incorporates both embedded and PC-based applications. Expect to collaborate closely with other engineers in many different disciplines: software, mechanical, and electrical. As a NeuroVista SDET, you will work with software engineers to develop test plans and protocols and refine software requirement specifications. Test plans and protocols will strongly favor automated testing, employing manual tests only where needed.
Primary Responsibilities
- Translates software requirement specifications into software test protocols and test cases.
- Collaborates with application software development engineers to develop software tests.
- Develops and executes automated test cases using C# and NUnit framework.
- Develops and executes some manual test protocols.
- Documents test activities, identifies test discrepancies and collaborates with engineering to ensure resolution.
Qualifications
- 3+ years experience in formal software development and/or test environment.
- Strong understanding of formal Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
- Must have experience with software verification testing, preferably in a regulated industry.
- Experience verifying PC applications with a graphical user interface and/or database back-end preferred.
This is a full-time, freelance/contract position and will run through 2009.
